Derm Check is built on the principle of "Privacy by Design." We believe that you shouldn't have to sacrifice your personal data to get insights into your skin health. Unlike traditional platforms, we do not require account creation, email sign-ups, or profile builds to use our analysis suite.
2. Zero-Storage Data Model
We operate a pure-frontend application architecture. This means:
- Assessment results are processed locally in your web browser.
- No skin data, questionnaire answers, or analysis results are transmitted to our servers.
- We do not have a database capable of storing user skin profiles.
3. Use of Cookies and Local Storage
We use session-based local storage only to maintain the state of your current assessment (e.g., if you refresh the page while mid-quiz). This data never leaves your device and is cleared when you close your browser tab. We do not use persistent tracking cookies or cross-site tracking pixels.
4. Third-Party CDNs
To provide a fast and secure experience, we use Content Delivery Networks (CDNs) for our libraries (Tailwind CSS, jQuery, Lucide). When you access Derm Check, these providers may record your IP address and browser user agent as part of standard server logs required for network security and content delivery. We do not share any skin-related data with these providers.
